Though originally slated for a 1960 release, the full original film was only released in 1988. A heavily altered version with a different directors was released under the title Die Nacht am See in 1963.

A girl is killed and raped minutes after fighting with her boyfriend (Jeff) and he left her. Jeff is the assistant of professor Caldwell at the university, and he wanted to return with his old girlfriend (Lisa). The girl lived with another five girls, including Lisa. All these girls begin to be killed, one by one, in different and strange ways. The main suspect is Jeff.

A huge ruby from the time of the Indian Maharajas has been stolen and placed in the backpack of the Americans. When the bad guys realize this, they kidnap the wife... Now the husband and his Indian friend (played by a famous Tamil Indian actor) must go out to save her.
