It all happens over two days and—naturally—and in particular—two nights. A perfectly ordinary girl gets herself into a lot of trouble because of her slightly too big heart, which exposes her to trials and temptations she cannot overcome without the help of little white lies and pretence. Søren Holm becomes a pastor in the small town of Harslev. The parish council chairwoman, Mrs. Andersen, interferes in the pastor's family's private life, and when Søren plays in a soccer game to get to know the town's young men, Mrs. Andersen becomes furious. This film could easily be a true story taken from contemporary Denmark. It is a typical Tuesday morning: stormy weather, slush, and bitter cold. Two young women are cycling to work. They make an unpleasant discovery: they find a dead man on a bench in the park.

The owner of Rønneby Kro, Bartholdi, is writing his memoirs. When this comes to the ears of prominent citizens, they rush to Rønneby Kro to have the publication stopped. She immediately starts to lead everyone around the rectory, which Aunt Marie is definitely not happy about. The priest, on the other hand, is attracted to the girl. They swim in the lake and go to a ball together, which leads to Mrs. Larsen coming in to talk to the bishop. He handles all the problems for the Nyboder friends when they are in trouble - on land or at sea, from the sister's heartache with the less real rich man's son, the stoker's daughter's problems with an intrusive man, to a mutiny that breaks out on a foreign ship. Hjalmar is a man of action, who always acts quickly - and cheerfully - well supported by the gallery of brave boys and sailors.

After World War II, Europe lies in ruins and help is desperately needed everywhere. One person trying to make a difference is Dr. Jørgen Vedel, who travels with the Red Cross to Vienna to vaccinate children. There he meets Leni, a girl who has been to Auschwitz, where she lost her mother. Jørgen arranges for Leni to come to Denmark, where she can start a whole new life.

The story is about a student named Peder Pedersen, who has tried to pass his law degree exam the max number of times without success. He hasn't been able to make anything concrete out of his 7-year engagement to a young lady either, because he's way too into anything detective-related. In all other areas, he is extremely distracted.

The young folk singer Peter Jespersen has returned from abroad and is now without a contract. He approaches director Andresen of the Alhambra Theatre, but is rejected, and Peter understands from the conversation that it will be important for him to get an impresario who can take care of the business for him. He approaches the theatre agents Bang and Mathisen, whose motto is: "If you have the talent, we will get you the contract".

However, this is taken very unkindly, and such a heated discussion arises between them that the young girl suddenly finds herself in the street, fired on grey paper. But Dolly is not the type to give up. Untraditional self-centeredness soon creates a lot of attention around her.

Behind the red gates lies Dyrehaven with the green beeches and the famous zoo hill - the motley world of clowns. Professor Labardi is behind the popular singer pavilion, where his young daughter, Gulnare, performs. After a rainy summer, there is an economic low tide on Bakken, and the family is tempted to seek help from Gulnare's enterprising suitor, Carlo Petersen. There is conflict, money transactions, love, hypocrisy and villainous streaks when the fine world and the hill folk meet. Behind the Red Gates is a terrific folk comedy that takes us behind the attractions at the traditional amusement park in Klampenborg.

Consul Bergholtz is ill and will probably die soon. Family members gather at her bedside, each with the expectation of receiving a share of the impending inheritance. Among the heirs are her sons, the alcoholic editor Oscar and the homosexual lecturer Ejnar, as well as their pretty and recently divorced sister Esther. But when her grandson, the cunning and unscrupulous businessman Kurt, shows up, the intrigues are stoked. Kurt couldn't care less about good manners and cultural veneer; he simply takes what he wants.

A lost hat brings a powerful director and an aspiring actress together.

The film could just as well have been called "Where there is room in the heart, there is also room in the house," because it is actually about an old, seasoned people person's solution to the housing problem. He solves it in his own – admittedly unusual – way, but he solves it! Had he been a little more discreet, his invention would never have been discovered – and he could have lived the rest of his life carefree. But this experienced judge of character – whom we call "the Professor" – had one major flaw: his overly big heart for the small and unfortunate members of society in general and the homeless in particular. It is this unfortunate heart that sets the film in motion and accelerates the events.

Søndreø is a small, peaceful island in one of Denmark's fjords, owned and run by the old farmer Lars Søndervold and his son Søren. But times are hard, and everything is not going as it should. The greedy, bragging merchant Anders Lundrup has used all means to gain possession of the island, and one fine day Søren and his old father must leave their ancestral farm and the island. Søren swears an expensive oath - he will earn so much money that he can one day buy the farm and the island back, and at the same time he swears revenge on Anders Lundrup.

Two rival young men both desire the merchant's pretty daughter, a bad young man robs the merchant's safe and blames it on "mother-in-law's dream", a worldly-wise grandmother directs the battle of love from her living room, and a couple of silly railway workers spread song and joy.

We follow two randomly selected destinies: two young girls whose data could have been taken straight from the police files, which contain so many human documents—many sad, but also many joyful, because a large proportion of those who were initially weak and frivolous are saved from the temptations of the big city.

Like all other fairy tales, this one begins with: Once upon a time. Once upon a time, there were two friends, one was an actor in Copenhagen, the other in Oslo. The one in Copenhagen was called Osvald, and one day he was very angry. He stood in front of his director and told him what he thought of him in general and the tasks he was given at his theater in particular. So Osvald left. By a twist of fate, something similar happened in Oslo. Einar felt that his director did not take him into consideration, so he also left. Now the two meet in Copenhagen, and they experience an adventurous evening together, spiced with several well-known revue numbers.

Lau Lauritzen plays an ordinary architect, with a wife and a son. He gets accused for killing a 10-year old girl, and of course nobody doubts he's the one. Even his wife and his uncle has trouble believing him, but at least they don't tell him.

Due to his weakness for women and gambling, the old landowner Vilhelm Stone has ruined his marriage and lost his son and friends. But when he dies, his son Niels returns home from Australia to take over the estate. However, it is not that simple. Lawyers drag out the inheritance case, and initially Niels only inherits the racehorse Ibrahim. Niels is determined to win the big race of the year at the racetrack, and it is here that Poul Reichhardt sings the famous schlager Ibrahim to his horse. In the battle to get the family estate, Niels gets incredible help from his faithful companion, the farmhand Nicholajsen.

Tove (Bodil Kjer) is a modest and ordinary girl dreaming of winning the competition to become the next big movie star. She applies with a photo of her more beautiful sister Grete (Gerda Neumann). The competition, however, is already rigged.

On the deck of the Aalborg boat, the young girl Elly stands and stares at Copenhagen's towers and roofs, shining in the red glow of the afternoon sun. Elly has been lucky, she thinks: a maid in a boarding house in Nansensgade, her own room and a good salary. However, Elly is quickly disappointed. The boarding house is dirty, and after advances from one of the boarders, she packs her suitcase. She meets Agnes, a girl from home. Agnes takes Elly under her wing and gets her a place in a hotel and offers her half of her attic room. Elly feels safe with Agnes, but then one day a young man crosses her path.

A bunch of wagons are crossing the border. It's the Karla Circus, which, after a rough season in Germany, is gonna try its luck in Denmark. Mrs. Karla, the beloved and respected circus director, goes through passports and papers with the customs officers... everything's fine, so the circus caravan can keep going to the next town. One of the circus employees is caught harboring a vagrant in his wagon. But when it turns out that the vagrant is an excellent flute player, he becomes an asset to Circus Karla.

Director Max Kildal's private life has gone completely topsy-turvy. The two women of the house, his wife Louise and daughter Vibeke, throw him around in the ring when they play their rich girl intrigue game. Max is completely and utterly subject to the tyranny of women. At least for Max, no one is interested. And yet. One day he realizes that he is appreciated by his secretary - and then he shows his trump card to the women at home.

The young siblings at the Hejrenæs estate, Vibeke and Hans-Henrik, have always gotten along well, so Hans-Henrik decides to celebrate his sister's 21st birthday with a big party at the estate. H.F.F.M. - "Hands off Mom" - is the name of an association founded by four siblings to keep their mother all to themselves. Now they don't want any more strangers in their private paradise. The small family lives in a cozy attic apartment in Copenhagen. The mother is a writer, and since she is divorced, she has to manage on her own.

Many people are preparing their lives for a lifetime, to make it safe and secure. And then the fate's game of 24 hours can overturn everything.

The young mechanic Borge Rasmussen works in Salling Harbour and lives with the slightly older Marinus Frederiksen, who chairs the city's port workers. Marinus sees in Borge, who has lost his parents, his only friend and is easily influenced by his extremist views.

Sylvia Grøn is fired as a teacher. Instead, she teams up with her great admirer, the actor Herman Sander. Sylvia Grøn invests her savings in his traveling theater, but the theater is doing poorly. The image of Herman Sander also fades as time goes by. Sylvia's old student, Eva Kristoffersen, seeks refuge in the theater troupe. She is secretly in love with the composer Henrik Brandt. Just before the key must be turned for the theater group, Sylvia gets an idea. Henrik Brandt has written a play and she wants to stage it.

The rich couple Jytte and Ole spend their lives partying and having fun. After another evening and night of partying, the couple decides to get divorced. The next day they tell Uncle Frederik, who instead proposes a bet: for a year, Jytte and Ole will live on 400,- DKK a month, so that they can experience how ordinary people live. They agree to the proposal and move into a small apartment. Gradually, they learn to cope, but give up the bet after a month. When Ole tells Uncle Frederik that they don't want to be with him anymore, Frederik unfortunately has to tell them that he has ruined their fortune. When Ole gets home, he learns that Jytte is pregnant. This changes their lives to a great extent - Jytte and Ole have suddenly found meaning in life.

What is more beautiful and delightful than the Danish summer when it shows its good side? Director Rasmus Strang enjoys it at his country house with his two daughters Ulla and Linda. Ulla, who is the eldest and daughter of Rasmus Strang's first marriage, rules the home with a firm hand and keeps her stepsister Linda isolated in complete obscurity. Linda is not allowed to go out. Linda is not allowed to get new, fancy clothes. Linda is not allowed to go to singing lessons, she has a beautiful singing voice that just needs to be polished a bit. Like a little Cinderella, she lives in the big old house, even her father, who loves her, does not dare to help her, so as not to get into trouble with Ulla.

Eight separate family dramas (uncovering many aspects of deceit) are woven together to the sound of a certain Chopin waltz.

1905. A couple of cheerful traveling salesmen, Hansen and Larsen, are on their last round of visits to customers before settling down in the big city to open their own business selling women's underwear. They hold a farewell dinner for one of their old customers in Lilleby. There is a ball at the hotel, and a couple of young ladies make the acquaintance of the two friends, which will have consequences in more ways than one.

The stout Axel Høegh is a forester on the Troldborg estate in South Zealand, where he lives with his daughter Anne, who runs the house, and his son Mogens, who serves as a forester candidate under his father, and who is engaged to a young girl, Ulla Kryger, who is employed at a Copenhagen advertising agency.

Else and her husband want a child but Else can't have one following an abortion performed before she got married. When Jytte, her friend, a salesgirl who is the mistress of a married man, tells her she is pregnant, Else thinks she has worked things out: along with her husband she will adopt the unwanted child. But things turn out differently since Jytte decides to keep the newborn the moment she sets eyes on it.

The film is a sequel to Hold fingrene fra mor (Hands Off Mom). Berthe Quistgaard and Helge Kjærulff-Schmidt play the leading roles in this delightful romantic comedy. Lulu Vänner is about to get married for the fourth time. She is the mother of four children from three different men, but perhaps the fourth time will be the charm. Although the children like Lulu's fiancé, John Carstensen, they are not keen on the idea of marriage.

Ib Schønberg is again the kindly father - and now he is crowned "the ideal driver". This means that he can take all his four children to winter holiday in Norway.

Dirch Passer does it again. In this incredibly funny Passer film, we meet Dirch as a member of the ground staff at SAS. Dirch has one small flaw: he is hopelessly in love with a stewardess and finds it very difficult not to dream about his crush while he is at work. Time and again, he dreams himself into various heroic roles in order to attract the attention of his beloved Agneta. We meet Dirch as a flight captain, archaeologist, gangster, sailor, prince, defense attorney, boxing champion, and soldier in the Wild West. These are all roles he immerses himself in through his daydreams.
