Manikkam loves Mythili, who only uses him to fulfil her self-interests. A writer, also named Mythili, learns of Manikkam's sacrifices and his devotion towards his lover, and falls in love with him.

Lawyer Uma takes up the case of Raman, a mechanic who has been framed for murder. She soon learns that the prime suspect is her own father, Vishwanath, whom she has always held in high esteem.
