After his coworkers kick the dog, he becomes angry and beats up the bully. He is then summoned to his boss, who wants to fire him. Standing beside him, however, is a man who wants to take him to Austria to work. There, he meets a beautiful woman and falls in love with her, but he isn't the only one. Someone else has a crush on the woman, and so a conflict erupts that escalates to a head-on.

After his parents are killed in a stagecoach holdup, a young man learns to be an expert gunman and with his dog Shorty, sets out to avenge their deaths.

Susanna travels to Paris with her small group of actors. There she saves Emperor Napoleon from rather painful predicaments, uncovers a number of nasty court intrigues and finds, with much skill and ability, the man of her choice.

The film focuses on life in a World War II German penal battalion camp somewhere in Russia. The convicts include a heroic doctor unjustly convicted of avoiding military service, an officer who retreated against orders, and common criminals. It shows their life in the camp, clearing mines, living in trenches on the front line.

Seduction has to be learned: One orders a harem to his hotel to prove that only she is the one. The other slips into boy's clothes to stand her ground. Handsome hotelier James Sander is idolized by pretty girls and earns a lot of money on the side. But the girls are a thorn in the side of his tax consultant Hilde. She has fallen in love with the attractive bachelor and has worked out a perfect plan to win James' heart. Mike's band has also arrived at his hotel. Sweet Bibi slips there into the role of her sick brother, trying to keep the secret of her womanhood and stand her ground as a drummer. Her game of hide-and-seek is in vain - because Mike is not the only one who has his eye on her. The turbulence in the hotel reaches its climax when hotel servant Pankraz smells a crime in James Bond style and stages the total confusion.

The German innkeeper Susan, now leading an acting troupe, travels to Italy and uses feminine wiles to undo an assassination plot against Napoleon, and rescue a local count (a great romancer) from his own enemies.

The literal English translation of the German-titled film here is "The Hostess of the Lahn." Suzanne (Terry Torday) is the beautiful redhead who runs an inn in the town of Giessen. She is the subject of many inspirational love songs by the student population. The lyrics also reflect the Germans' resentment and hostility toward the French occupation by the army of Napoleon. Suzanne appears in various stages of undress.
