Ravi, a progressive schoolteacher in a small village helps fight an epidemic by getting his students inoculated. He incurs the wrath of local witchdoctor in the process.

Naralwadi Sarpanch Vishwasrao is father of two daughters and has huge estate but his mother wants a grandson who in future can take care of their estate. Vishwasrao reasons that he being Sarpanch of village does not have enough time to spend with his wife so his mother prays that he should lose the election.

Four friends decide to leave their village and go to Mumbai in search of a livelihood.
