Georgian village during the revolution of 1905. The struggle of the peasantry against the landlords. Tariel Golua's son, Levan, leads the rebellion. Tariel himself is in favor of a peaceful solution to the conflict, but when his son is brutally killed, and the houses of the rebels and their supporters are set on fire, Tariel is convinced that it is impossible to gain freedom without an armed struggle.

After failing the university entrance exam, Zesnakhe and Budzguria, who is in love with him, sneak off to work on the construction of the Engur power plant.

Based on Guram Panjikidze’s novel, The Seventh Sky, the film follows the lives of young people and workers at a metallurgical plant in Tbilisi during the 1970s. Levan Khidasheli, a talented engineer, arrives at the Rustavi metallurgical plant and quickly rises through the career ladder due to his dedication. However, he prioritises his career over friendship and love, leading to a sense of loneliness and regret when life doesn’t reward his sacrifices.
