When Clementine Kemper, the mother of three children, is once again prevented from playing the piano and singing by her husband Harry, she packs her things and leaves.

Munich-based graphic artist Lukas is an artist with no fixed abode and no desire for commitment, who never stays in the same place for long. His only possessions are his duck, his clothes and a few everyday objects with which he moves from apartment to apartment as a lodger. There he prefers to devote himself entirely to his amorous adventures. With his unconventional manner, he drives philistines, aristocrats and the nouveau riche up the wall.

Brussels, 1568: Under Spanish rule, Regent Margaret of Parma seeks leniency, but King Philip II sends the brutal Duke of Alba. Beloved noble Egmont ignores warnings to flee, trusting in mercy. Alba arrests and executes him, and Egmont’s death becomes a rallying cry for Dutch freedom.

The women of a village whose men have all died in the war want to remarry. However, they are known throughout the land for their ugliness. The king, whose help they ask for, cannot expect them to help his brave soldiers, whom he wants to reward with farmland and wives. A confidant of the king decides to help himself and the women.

Hamlet, Prince of Denmark, returns home to find his father murdered and his mother remarrying the murderer, his uncle.

The 17-year-old, musically gifted Stephan is expelled from school for making statements critical of the regime. With his future as a musician now blocked, he commits suicide. His girlfriend Cornelia wants to follow him to his death, but is prevented from doing so by her parents at the last moment.

Chancellor Helmut Kohl is to blame in Germany and has to go away without violence. The homeless Hick takes up the idea and demonstrates the abolition of Kohl.

A US agent is supposed to find out details about a missile base in Siberia. The mission fails, although the American remains alive thanks to the help of a Russian woman.

Old scholar realizes he has wasted his life in vain trying to find a deeper meaning of life. He sells his soul to the devil to get a second chance at life.
