Having lit up the 1960s music scene with their own, highly popular brand of rock & roll, Jefferson Airplane regrouped and renamed themselves Jefferson Starship (and later, Starship) in the 1980s. Adding an addictive pop ingredient to their already potent brew paid off handsomely for the band, and opened their sound up to a whole new audience. To their surprise, Jefferson Starship landed two number one singles during this extremely productive time for the band, namely "We Built This City," and "Sara." When Jonathan happens upon a beautiful mannequin he previously designed, she springs to life and introduces herself as Emmy, an Egyptian under an ancient spell. Despite interference from the store's devious manager, Jonathan and his mannequin fall in love while creating eye-catching window displays to keep the struggling store in business.
