Flo and his trusted Collie pal Lassie spend the summer at Aunt Cosma's, alongside her foster children Kleo and Henry, and her dog Pippa. When local canines start disappearing, including Pippa, Lassie rallies the kids to solve the mystery.

One morning, a Japanese monk shows up in a village: He does not speak a word, has a head injury and is evidently on the run. Chief Inspector Louise Bonì immediately senses that the young man is in grave danger. However, her supervisor Bermann does not believe her word - because since a deadly use Bonì is psychologically struck and is mainly due to an alcohol problem. Nevertheless, she continues to investigate on her own. The trail leads to a mysterious Zen monastery and a private children's aid organization, which mediates Asian adopted children. Soon Louise awakens a terrible suspicion.

They book private accommodations through an Internet portal and embark on their 4-weeks-journey. On their arrival in Germany Elisabeth picks them up at the airport. She is the daughter of the landlady of Mark and Olivias first accommodation, a tiny house, located at a beautiful lake, in the hometown of Olivia's great-grandparents. They learn that the 82-years old landlady is in the hospital and dying. Elisabeth drives Mark and Olivia to the house. And then the two young people spend their first night in Germany. A night in which Mark gets to know the owner in a special way. The next morning, it is strangely quiet over the house by the lake. And no one will know so quickly what happened a few hours ago.

A young family in Berlin decides to go on an outing into the woods outside of town. Once in the countryside, the little daughter gets an unsettling feeling. Soon, this turns out as a dark foreboding. As the quiet afternoon progresses, for the young family, it will never be the way it was.

Borchert wants to toast three years of successful cooperation with his superior Dominique Kuster and her father, Reto Zanger. The evening is canceled because Reto Zanger is called to Geneva at short notice for a mandate. His daughter is therefore supposed to represent him at a court hearing in Zurich. The trial takes a dramatic turn when inmate Alexander Böni takes those involved as hostages.
