Set in 19th century Vienna, Ignac Semmelweis, a short-tempered but passionate doctor, delivers babies and carries out autopsies on a daily basis while looking for the cause of puerperal fever, the mysterious epidemic that decimates patients in the hospital.

The film tells the story of Dávid, an eighteen-year-old negligent teen. After eight years of being apart, Dávid and his mother move back from Vojvodina to Hungary to live with Dávid’s father. We slowly discover Dávid’s secret operation: he illegally transports refugees across the border for money, in order to fund his move abroad.

Zoltán Farkas, a well-known constructor, lives his life as Don Juan, while his young wife (Éva) want to divorce and has a lover, who is a young lieutenant. They go there last trip together to Zoltán's birthplace, where no one knows, that they will divorce, until some secrets getting revealed. Based on Ferenc Herczeg's novel.

András and Péter are two young men trying to make it big with their rock band in Budapest in the early 1980s. When the opportunity arises to attend the wedding of András's cousin in Transylvania, they decide to take it as a chance to raise some money. Once there, they embark on an unexpected adventure.

Olive works as a game designer in America and struggles at work to develop a high-tech game concept, but her boss insists on his own idea of product development. Meanwhile, it turns out that her Hungarian grandmother, Magdalena, can't go to her for Christmas, so Olive travels to Pécs to take her with her.
