BBC documentary telling the story of how David Bowie arrived at one of the most iconic creations in pop history - Ziggy Stardust - with contributions from colleagues and famous fans.

Portrait of T.Rex frontman and pop icon Marc Bolan. The programme features interviews with many of his celebrity and non-celebrity friends and his long-time lover Gloria Jones, as well as rare private footage of stage performances of hits such as 'Ride a White Swan' and 'Get It On'.

There are also interviews with those who surrounded the band, and those who were there from the very start. Also included is an exclusive interview with fan and star in his own right, Phil Collins.
