Pragma is a mother-daughter story set in the course of a day, in which the repressed tension between Juli and Lili and the lack of real, attentive love that the girl would need from her mother is symbolised by the daughter's inability to eat her mother's cooking without being sick at their own birthday lunch. A drama with some absurd. At the core of the dysfunctional relationship dynamics is none other than the grandmother, who raised the mother in a very oppressive way, with difficulty expressing unconditional love.

Variations on relationships in a New Year Day atmosphere set in a huge and rundown 1980s style hotel awaiting demolition by Lake Balaton, Hungary. Three women and five men in various ways.

1956. Three Hungarian friends hijack a plane to escape from the Iron Curtain.

Zsófi, a rebellious teenager, lives in a tiny flat with her little sister, Mesi, and her unstable mother, Bea. Zsófi discovers late that she is pregnant and decides to give up her baby through open adoption to an infertile couple. Bea cannot accept her daughter’s decision, but she does not realize that neither Zsófi, nor the circumstances, are suitable to welcome a newborn. Zsófi has always had to behave like a grown-up, working and making sensible decisions, instead of her mother and for her sister. She is still in high school and her only advantage is her table tennis career, for which she works assiduously. She plans the adoption thoroughly with the help of a social worker. Following the birth, she is given six weeks by law to change her mind and ask for her child back. She seems to be able to control her feelings ruthlessly and continue towards the goals she has set. At the same time, her maternal feelings intensify, doubts arise, and she slowly begins to question her decisions.

The ruined castle is inhabited by architects who, feeling the spirit of the place, want to direct the modernization of the settlement below the castle from here. Despite the residents' protests, the architects want to make the people happy by force.

1956. Bébé is a painter, but he has not worked for years. The news arriving form Paris about the death of his childhood friend, Halász Petár affects him deeply, but his reflections are continually disturbed by telephone calls: the Alliance for Fine Arts wants to purchase one of the popular self-portraits of Halász.

The story of three women - a famous prostitute, her housekeeper and their new maid - living in Budapest of 1910s, whose passionate, bizarre and complex relationship can only lead to one thing: murder.

Savanyú and his friend work at a plant. After the monotonous shifts they engage in the pleasures of the afternoon and the night, i.e. parties and concerts. Savanyú dates Juli, they are already engaged. The young men live as sub-tenants, the young women in workers' hostels. None of these places are suited for spending time together. They are in need of an apartment. Out of the ruinous apartment which they lay siege on, however, they are sent away by the otherwise friendly policeman. At a concert held in the Park of Youth, Juli gets to know Géza. They flirt, then go to the country with a pop-group. Savanyú and his friends follow them. A minor fight cools the atmosphere.

An adaptation of a famous 19th century Magyar novel, "The New Landlord"

Áron stands in his life as an average 29-year-old weirdo. He has many contemporary complexes, a fresh university degree, and a recent break up. His parents have to support him financially as he is still a job seeker and while Áron is agonizing on his lost love, he is always interrupted by something; it seems like he’s not the main character in his life.

The heroes of the story, which takes place in the present, are young people about to graduate. After prom, the fourth-graders escape to a private party, then return to school together for a farewell spree, during which a fire breaks out in the classroom. Due to the style of school investigation, students whose human and personal rights have been repeatedly violated leave the school building without permission during class. They are organized with a huge ambition to change the world together. While graduation only affects them emotionally, the baccalaureate exam turns them into individuals who recognize their individual interests.

"Everyone here wants a new bum, new tits. What do you hate so much about yourself? Or maybe your husband?" A 66-year-old woman, Dorottya, or Mimi, receives a gift from her husband, a plastic surgery coupon, to try to look younger. The film is a romantic comedy about the decisions of an ageing woman, her unexpected encounter with a man, the possibility of a fresh start, while social prejudices about the elderly are shattered.

33-years old Tamás Merthner is heartbroken, after his girlfriend Anna, who is on a scholarship in Paris, breaks up with him. While wallowing in self-pity, Tamás takes a trip down memory lane to figure out if love only exists when it's practically gone. As he's trying to pick up the pieces, he begins to realize what makes this current society so confused, which gives us a highly subjective view of Hungary's present.

Lipstick strives to depict the inner conflicts of the protagonist Vesna as subjectively as possible. Vesna, apparently unmoved by the armed conflicts in her homeland Yugoslavia, leads a happy-go-lucky life. A form of denial, the causes of which should be explored. Her visit in Budapest and therefore her compromise with her possibly true, though repressed, identity, evokes a feeling of happiness for a short time. The next morning, reality catches up with her again. She is taken off the train and is forced, since her passport and Austrian visa have both expired, to assume a new identity. Despite the futility of her undertaking, she refuses to make a statement concerning her person while in jail. What remains is the memory of a short-lived feeling of emotional success by delaying the course of events. The suggestion to consider a denial while in a condition of statelessness.

Hungarian TV-movie, adaptation of a drama by Géza Ottlik.

"But my class in Töhötöm Street could wait until I had finished my explanation even after ringing the bell! I bet my students on Töhötöm Street didn't confuse the corridor with the football field! Thank God for the "Töhötöm"... Aunt Joli, the young class teacher, often starts her speeches to the 6th grade class this way. She once says: "But the people of Töhötöm Street love music!" The 6.b's self-esteem can't take it any more, and they invite those "famous Dumpling Street kids" to a competition.

A mysterious death occurs in a retirement home for elderly actors. A neglected old actor, once famous for his Poirot-like roles, begins to investigate. He thoroughly interrogates the suspects, but has no easy task finding the killer among his fellow actors.

Can we move on if the person we have lived a life with ceases to be with us? Kati moves out of their home after the loss of her husband. As the small apartment that once served the two of them slowly empties, Kati clings to a memory they shared.

This self-ironic film of a humane intellectual attitude starts with Péter spying upon an undressing couple behind the window. But he is watched himself, for suddenly he gets an offer from a private detective office to shadow the woman.

Adapted from István Csurka's play of the same name. Four men often get together in the evenings to play poker, big money is lost, often without any collateral. During heated arguments, it becomes clear during the break between playing cards that these people once had the opportunity to live differently. They were talented, but now they are neither on the right nor the left, and in their own words, they live in nihilism.
