Like the film’s title, Parody of the Capital resembles a sketch of the community. Oom Pasikom, a cab driver, is stingy because of his measly income. Conversely, his wife moves within the high social circle and is a spendthrift due to her business as jewelry broker. Through Oom Pasikom’s glasses, small stories of the city are told - the ladies’ social gathering, lonely wives, the cleaning of the city and how it affects the small businesses, a student who is writing her thesis and so on.

This film is at once moving and humorous.

Romi and Juli, junior high school friends, are in love with each other. But their parents; Sabar and Komar, are business rivals, and creates obstacles for them. Romi and Juli agree to run away from home and they get lost in a cave. Romi falls ill so Juli has to urgently find medicine. This movie is a remake of Pengantin Remadja 1971 original version which is also one of indonesian legendary love story movie such as Badai Pasti Berlalu, Gita Cinta SMA, etc. This Movie tells the love story among two of teenage kids unfortunately restrained by difference in social status of both family which are diplomat and farmer family. Some Scenarios have changed compare to original one which ends tragically. In the original 1971 starring by Widyawati and Sophan Sophian while in this remake Pengantin Remaja 1991 replaced by Vivi Samodro and Bucek Depp. The Musical illustrations are also impressive. Both of original Pengantin Remadja 1971 and this remake 1991 are directed by the same person Wim Umboh and music arranger Idris Sardi.

Astri’s mother demands angrily for a porn-video cassette that embarrasses the son-in-law Dedi, and the two grandchildren. Mother also gossips with the neighbours and even protests by not eating. To cap it all, she wants to marry Item, the blind masseur whom she often hires. She is actually seeking attention and therefore wants to remarry. In desperation, she even runs away from home. Her daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren miss her. In the end, she returns, and her daughter and son-in-law finally agree to her demands. All the acts and behaviour of the mother are comedy moments in the film.

At the age of 22 years of marriage, Mutia was attacked by liver cancer. This difficulty did not change the attitude of her husband, Affan.

His work is causing relationship problems with his wife so he finds relief with one of his fans, Anna Mathovani. Bing helps her debut as a singer and realises his mistake when her boyfriend shows up. Luckily his wife misses him and they reconcile. The appearance of singers and famous groups in the film seems to be intended as a selling point.

After her graduation as a doctor, Siti Pertiwi is sent to the Menggala area in Lampung. She has to deal with many problems, such as the corrupt paramedics who assist her and the villagers’ fear of the shaman – Atuk Raja – and his men. These problems have complicated her role as the local doctor. Then she receives help from a student who interns in the area. Unfortunately, the assistance invites gossip.

This documentary was initially meant to give a chance to those who had not yet seen the musical “Untukmu Indonesiaku” by Guruh Sukarnoputra. The musical is shown here but not in its complete form. The director weaves the footage of the show with what happens behind the scenes, the rehearsals and also the process of creating the show. Guruh himself makes an appearance and tells how he learns the art of Bali. There is also footage of the beginnings of the Swara Maharddika group. The director reveals Guruh’s background and influences, including his father Bung Karno and Indonesia’s wondrous nature.

Dono, Kasino, Indro all find girlfriends through a dating agency. Although the relationships didn't do well for the three of them. And Dono is almost fired when he overuses the company’s phone to call his girlfriend, Rita, whose suddenly disappears and leaves a baby under Dono’s care. Comedy is then focused around the baby, reminiscent of the film, “Three Men and a Baby”.

Anna is a private tutor for Frans' two children who have just lost their mother. The mistress of the house died from being poisoned by Renita, her own younger sister. There she was seduced by Danny, Frans' brother-in-law who she initially rejected. However, love began to grow when Danny moved to Jakarta. Unfortunately, their letters were hijacked by Renita. Then there was also a declaration of love from Frans who eventually also died from Renita's poison.
