Seventy-year-old Agnes takes the ashes of her dear Robert and travels to their regular holiday cottage on the Scottish island of Mull. Max, 10, spends Christmas with his family at his grandmother Mimi's house in the mountains. Mimi tells Max stories about trolls, elves, and fairy tale creatures.
