Antonio, a young man with a modest job in a small town, leads a monotonous existence until he is transferred to Barcelona to work in an architecture studio. From that moment, a new life opens before his eyes. He befriends Lorenzo, one of his classmates. Lorenzo is more experienced than Antonio and shows him a new, more sophisticated life in which Antonio feels out of place. Also, Antonio falls in love with Lorenzo's sister.

John leaves for Barcelona in search of Cristina, who two years ago went to the city. On arrival he is hosted in a cousin's house and there he meets Monica that falls madly in love with him. When he finally finds Cristina, things do not happen as he expected, the time and the city have changed her and she is not sure to continue the relationship. Meanwhile, Monica tries unsuccessfully to call the attention of John.

They are finally forced into action by the police who are, somewhat ineptly, hunting them down.

She invites the viewer to make the disconcerting experience of unbinding and emptiness. Such an approach involves an ethical posture. The Barcelona School follows in the footsteps of a modernity that intends to move away from an alienating authoritarian discourse and claims to make the spectator a partner in creation.

A mental patient in a psychiatric hospital is escorted into an operating room, where electrodes are attached to her scalp. The doctors dissect his brain and we enter the brain with a loud, jarring cry. In this space detached from reality, a group of actors perform elaborate interpretive dances. They jump, land on top of each other, place their hands on their bodies and form various shapes.

1868. Revolutionary Mathias Sandorf is determined to oust the dictatorship oppressing his country. The people see him as their liberator. Denounced by his banker, Mathias is arrested and sentenced to death. He manages to escape and takes refuge in a fishing village where he prepares a new uprising.

The cigar-smoking French writer, George Sand (Lucia Bose) and her lover, the composer-pianist Chopin (Christopher Sandford) have rented a former monastery in Mallorca as a winter retreat. They have even shipped a piano to the site, so that Chopin can continue his work. However, what promised to be a warm, sunny vacation turns sour as the locals disapprove of Sand, the servants are surly and mysterious, and the monastery is cold. She has her revenge, however. She wrote the book A Winter in Mallorca about her miserable winter retreat. This film follows that book closely, with concern for historical accuracy, which did not increase the Spanish filmmakers' popularity with their countrymen.

After WWII, a young man without perspective arrives in Rome. Living in a loft, he gradually discovers the city becoming a tour guide.
