In the vicinity of Copenhagen, a group of pensioners live in a very large villa. The owner, Doctor Bach, has invited a colleague, the young master Peter Park , to visit him. The man-hungry “vampire,” later to be popularized by America’s Theda Bara, made her screen debut in this Danish melodrama directed by August Blom. Clara Wieth starred in the title role of the Vampire Dancer, which is just what she was: a dancer performing her seductions on-stage. Off-stage, the young girl is kindhearted and a bit naïve. A lottery win allows the kitchen girl Hansy Hansen to lodge at an upmarket seaside hotel where the widower landowner Rosen falls in love with her. However, Rosen is in financial difficulties because of the lawyer Sadolin, who reneged on marrying his daughter. He puts everything he can into the daughter's horse to win a race.

A lazy sculptor squanders his advance and has to think outside the box to meet his deadline. At short notice, the sculptor has received the task of carving a copy of the famous statue “The Swimmer”. However, due to time pressure, one of the sculptor’s students has to replace the marble and become a living statue. Will the costumer see through the sculptor’s deceit? (Stumfilm.dk)

Peter Blom, called Lynet, escapes from prison, and at the same time the unemployed actor Poul Quist sees his portrait in the newspaper, in connection with a film company wanting to make a film about Lynet, and is looking for someone to play the lead role. Since the resemblance between Blom and Quist is striking, Quist approaches the film company and then the pranks start to take off, when Quist pretends to be Lynet. Taking place on a small villa road: The two neighbors Gormsen and Sandelund have been at a dispute for years and this evolves into an all out war. Sandelund is a wholesale dealer in meet, a capitalist and has one of this modem houses with a flat roof. Gormsen is a dentist, and a communist, he has a new wife that are younger then his son, and lives in one of these old-fashioned half-timbered houses. A third factor is the merchant Krause. To begin with he is a small time grocer and progresses into the end, a big time businessman. He is a deeply religious man, a good Christian, and member of the parochial church council. There children, (teenagers) find their conflict silly and stupid.

Peter and Tove are getting married. Since Peter only has three days' leave from his ship, they decide to go on their honeymoon to Copenhagen. After eating out in town, they check into a hotel for the night. The newlyweds quickly become embroiled in a crime drama. First, Peter finds a dead body in the bed. When the night porter finally arrives, the body has disappeared. The body is seen again in a large trunk, but disappears once more before the night porter can see it. Then Peter is kidnapped in the trunk.

Manufacturer Mads Juehl, who together with his partner Møller owns the pram factory "Fortuna", is a man with an appreciation for life's many small pleasures. Despite the fact that the company's foundations are gradually becoming unstable, he does not deny himself large personal expenses, and Møller is keen to sell his share in the company.
