However, the young people's mutual romantic attraction soon becomes apparent, and Sheldon explodes. He intends to sever his friendly ties not only with Duluth and his son, but also to expel his wife and her family from his home. The next day, however, the servant finds him shot dead. Bill is arrested, having taken the murder weapon.

When he is chased off by a farmer for falling in love with his daughter Majdalenka, he sets off to the castle to see the princess, who presents her suitors with three riddles. Although disappointed at first, it is actually this zestful lady who sets Ota in the right direction again. Thanks to Jana, Ota finds the courage to set out on an exciting road-movie trip of the kind he would never have had the courage for in his youth. Their meeting and the excursion, full of unexpected turns and new impressions, give their lives a new dimension.

If Vojta doesn't do something radical, and fast, Ela will disappear behind the Iron Curtain forever. The year is 1989.

A spa comedy full of thieves and swindlers, disguises, blunders, and misunderstandings, but above all, crazy humor. The television comedy by screenwriter Anna Vovsová and director Zuzana Zemanová Šejk takes place in a small spa somewhere in northern Bohemia. A successful group of amateur actors is hiding here from the law in order to get abroad as soon as possible and escape their deserved punishment for robbing a jewelry store. However, conflicts exist not only within this group, but also between the spa director and the female staff, especially between the director and his own daughter, a masseuse. She refuses to obey him and quits her job at a time when there is no replacement for her.

A mix-up of names and people causes initial confusion with the moving of a very bulky musical instrument, which – together with the recently broken elevator – provokes the residents of an ordinary apartment building to unprecedented activity. Only Mrs. Careful and her charming Chikita cause trouble and grief – both lose their grooms in their own way.

On 20th of April 1945 the Soviet army launches its attack on Berlin. The end has come for Nazi Germany and Hitler decides to commit suicide. In Prague K.H. Frank (Nazi Secretary of State and Chief of police in the Protectorate of Bohemia a Moravia) discusses with his commanders how to transform the city into an impregnable fortress, but the Praguers do not intend to wait any longer. From the early hours of 4th of May people start assembling in the streets and tearing down German signs. On the next day, the 5th of May, the uprising begins.

The film tells the story of an enthusiastic young man who joins a textile factory in the late 1950s and assumes that a promising career awaits him - the protagonist is therefore constantly comparing himself to his favourite literary model, the equally ambitious Julian Sorel from Stendhal's fresco The Red and the Black. The result, however, lacks the necessary conviction, the ability to draw the viewer into his world, and remains too contrived, as the chosen period has become a mere non-committal backdrop for amorous games.

With a world-class orchestra (made up of people interned in the camp) and a cast of children, Moreau stages a show to end all shows.

The film about curious children who discover a sunken statue of Masaryk in a disused well was interfered with by the events of November and the filmmakers tried to incorporate their echoes into the flow of the narrative. However, the result is at times confusing, as the originally childish adventure has thus grown into a naive social poster child.
