Liu Peiran

In 1947, the Chinese Red Army sets a trap for the Nationalist forces in Jiangsu province.

The film is adapted from the section "The Intelligent Conquest of Wuhushan" in Qu Bo's novel of the same name, telling the story of the People's Liberation Army's campaign to eliminate the bandit forces composed of remnants of the Kuomintang that were entrenched in Northeast China.

Set in 1950s. Veteran Mancang returns home country which locates in north China. He falls in love with Lanying. But she wants to go to the city because she is influenced by a girl who went there earlier. Lanying's brother and his wife live in the city and they both persuade her to stay in the country and work hard for good life.

About May 1942, the Japanese elite mobilized thousands of troops to bases in central Hebei. A platoon of army troops were ordered to cover the transfer, the platoon leader was seriously injured. Yan Zhigang Li met his aunt and was saved. He led the soldiers with Qingsha Zhang, to fight the enemy , remove and destroy the enemy's guard towers and to break their cruelty.
