Five scenarios with different actors portray realistic situations where divorce is clearly warranted but, because marriage was strictly in the purview of the Catholic Church at that time, which strictly forbade divorce, these people are shown to suffer the consequences in their daily lives. Italy got its first civilian divorce law in 1970.

One year later, Milton has joined the Resistance and fights beside other partisans. He learns during a conversation that Fulvia was secretly in love with his best friend Giorgio, a partisan like him. Milton decides to go find Giorgio in the Langhe region of Italy with all its misty hills...But Giorgio has just been arrested by the Fascists.

This documentary offers us a view of skating rink where anyone can enter at a minimal price. On another rink, however, are sportsmen in training some for speed skating and others for figure skating. Among the spectators are two children who stare at their champions with wide-open eyes.

Ignazio Buttitta, in front of a billboard with drawn representations, narrates the problems of Sicily in the manner of Sicilian storytellers. This is followed by images of the poor life of the people in the barracks of the Sicilian countryside and the uncomfortable conditions of a school. Poverty does not spare even the middle classes, who live in such conditions as to be forced to emigrate anyway. Ignazio Buttitta explains how the natural riches of Sicily do not end up for the benefit of the population. The composition of the Sicilian parliament, the conquests of the PCI, the administrative embezzlements of the DC are also illustrated. Buttitta ends with the memory of Salvatore Carnevale, dedicating a song to him.
