Actress Marie Lamont (Phoebe Hunt) has been living well due to a string of lovers and has kept her daughter, Dorothy (Gloria Hope) sequestered in a convent far, far away from her fast lifestyle. But when Dorothy leaves the convent to come live with her mother, Marie decides to reform. She gives up her fancy apartment and her latest lover, Harvey Martin (Jack Holt), to concentrate on her daughter and her career, in that order. But Martin has fallen for Dorothy, and Dorothy cares for him too, even though she is already promised to a young artist, Geoffrey Hutchins (John Harron).

Denise Fleury supports her invalid mother in the Montmartre slums by making artificial flowers in a factory. When she loses her job, Denise is convinced by her friend Suzanne to join her working in a cabaret.

Connie (Louise Glaum) is married to attorney Robert MacNair (Mahlon Hamilton). When he leaves town on a business trip, her friend from the old days, Molly May (May Hopkins), invites her to a party. Connie, who misses her old life, decides to go under an assumed name. Teddy Garrick, the host (Joseph Kilgour), makes a play for her and she burns her shoulder trying to get away from him. Dillon, a burglar who is hiding in the house (George Cooper), surreptitiously presses a gun into Connie's hand from behind a curtain. As Garrick comes toward her he is shot dead.

A young actress seeks an engagement in New York but faces obstacles due to jealousy and politics. Her wealthy broker finances a production, demanding her best role. She resists, then moves to Denver for a stock engagement and falls in love with a newspaper writer.

Beatrice Fairfax, the original advice-to-the-lovelorn reporter and her friend and not-so-secret admirer Jimmy Barton investigate calls for help and escape exotic perils and dangers. Episodes include exciting and fun stories of baby-napping, blackmail, jewel thievery, disguise, counterfeiting, and the long-unseen episode featuring entrancing cult starlet Olive Thomas and the real New York Yankees and Giants playing a game in the Polo Grounds.

Whistling Dan (Tom Mix) is raised by the kindly rancher Old Joe Cumberland (Harry Lonsdale) after Dan is found wandering the desert as a youth. After he becomes a man, Dan wanders throughout the West, following the wild geese when they fly South every year. He finds trouble in a lawless town and wounds a rival gunman.
