On the edge of the Taklamakan Desert, Shawei Village faces harsh living conditions but thrives on a shared love for football. Children play daily in the sand dunes and poplar forests, and the sport brings joy to villagers of all ages. The peace is disrupted when Maimaiti, a reluctant county official, is mistakenly assigned to the village. Hoping for a quick promotion, he falsely claims that if the kids win the regional tournament, they’ll perform at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. This well-intentioned lie sparks a wave of excitement. The entire village unites around the dream, turning a simple game into a symbol of hope, pride, and determination.

The story takes place in Qinghe Altay, Xinjiang, a small county surrounded by mountains. Wang Caixia, a little girl in rags and with an abscess on her head was looking for her lost elder brother Wang Yunhui. She was so lonely and homeless that Anipha adopted her. Now Anipha and Abibo have 19 kids in their family, but they still fight on with hope.

Wang Xiao Nan, a 24-year-old Chinese performer of Korean folk dance, is shaken when her mentor and grandmother, Chen Xiu Zhen, gives her the thumbs down during the semi-final of a dance competition, despite the praise of the judges. Upset that, after 17 years of training, she still can’t satisfy Chen Xiu Zhen, Wang Xiao Nan only grudgingly agrees to accompany her dance-school head, Ling Jian Hua on a 10-day cultural-exchange trip to North Korea. The film follows the true life story of one of China's greatest composers, Xian Xinghai. The start of the Soviet Union's Great Patriotic War against Nazi Germany in 1941 made it difficult for Xian to return to China. He was stranded in Almaty, suffering poverty and sickness. Kazakh composer Bakhitzhan Baykadamov then helped Xian, providing him with a home, despite not knowing his true identity since Xian was then using an alias. There Xian put down roots and composed some of his most famous works.

The feature film "The Composer" tells about the life and work of the Chinese composer Xian Xinghai in the Soviet Union, including during the evacuation to Alma-Ata, as well as about his friendship with the Kazakh composer Bakhytzhan Baykadamov.
