The landowner couple Von Rambow are experiencing significant financial difficulties and are therefore forced to leave their residence and their happy life in Copenhagen. Instead, they must settle for the more down-to-earth life of farmers. The young maiden Marie Møller is deeply in love with Von Rambow's cousin Count Frantz, but he prefers the estate inspector's beautiful Louise. The unfortunate Triddelfitz, on the other hand, is madly in love with Marie Møller, which leads to many complications before all the pieces of the puzzle of love fall into place.

Composer John Berger is plagued by marital problems and struggling with a deadline for the music for an operetta. When he is visited by the muse of music, Polyhymnia, the melodies begin to flow, but she also causes a lot of complications in his earthly life. Like John's wife Irene, she falls in love with flight lieutenant Harry, while her father Zeus looks on disapprovingly and decides to intervene. Meanwhile, the premiere of the operetta is fast approaching.

At the Central Theatre in the chorus girls' cloakroom, the girls have a very lively discussion: The ever-recurring topic - their various male acquaintances. The only one who doesn't join in the joke is the pretty Mette Madsen. She thinks her friends are frivolous and stupid. Oda Holm, who is a very pretty girl, full of sex appeal, claims that Mette, who is also an excellent chairwoman of the chorus girls' organization, is completely devoid of "Oomph". She is incapable of exerting any attraction on men. It becomes too much for Mette.

In the idyllic provincial town of Gammelkøbing lives Emanuel Thomsen, known as Thummelumsen. It is his great dream to buy the Møllegården, which was once owned by the family, and for 15 years he has been scrimping and saving to get by. In the meantime, he has been followed by several hopeful female glances, because even though Thummelumsen is no Adonis, he is full of energy. And when one day he wins 12,500 kroner in the lottery, everything seems to be going well. But then the bag is shaken once again...

He is very happy – and proud! For he believes that he is a great, great hunter who brings home his beautiful prey, Eva. But she knows better, and so do her three sisters, who show up for the wedding, for girls naturally know everything there is to know about women's wiles and love. With a totally confused but sympathetic smile for the three unhappy women he did not get, he flees with his young bride. In return, the three amuse themselves by telling each other the true story—how things really went with the young couple—and the winding paths he took to reach his wedding. For it has always been the prey that has hunted the hunter, and – without him ever suspecting it – he has been more of a plaything than a Don Juan. What the girls "confess" to each other is not boring—it is a comedy—which, admittedly, is not about "that's how women are"! At most, it is about how women are like that too!

Christmas at an old rectory in the countryside – it's Christmas! And the three student brothers, "Gamle", "Corpus Juris" and Nicolai, are delighted to receive an invitation to spend Christmas with the priest in Nøddebo. The fact that there are also a couple of young daughters in the rectory naturally makes it all even more enjoyable. It's the first time Nicolai has gone along, so he knows nothing about his older brothers' infatuation with the two girls and falls head over heels for them, assuming that they can't handle his charm either. Things don't quite go his way now, because he finds himself pursued everywhere by the anything but pretty Maldrubine, whose warmest interest is the pleasures of the table.

During a train journey, Carolus, master of literature, meets the charming Italian Enrico. The two men discuss eroticism, and it ends with a bet: In a few days in Copenhagen, Enrico will seduce four women. Coincidentally - and unfortunately, Carolus' wife is the first Enrico to date.

Peter Soeborg and Susanne have been happily married for a month. He is a postman, but very gifted voice and in a couple of years participated as korherre Alhambra Theatre's operettas. Peter and especially his cute little wife proud dreams for the future, and their mutual friend, the old dresser Kragelund, who lives in the same house, also believe in Peter's abilities. There has to be premiered at the operetta "Love", and Peter hopes to be considered. But it should prove to be quite easy.

Consul General Winterfeld is not thrilled that his son Jørgen will marry showgirl Aurora. He promises Jørgen a million if he can spend a month in the company of Aurora without there being a fight.

The Danish Ingen tid til Kaertegn (Be Dear to Me) is heavily reliant on the appeal of its star, 8-year-old Eva Cohn. Our heroine is the neglected child of a businessman father and actress mother. Feeling that happiness lies well outside her own backyard, Eva goes on a search for that happiness. The longer she stays away, the more her parents realize that they've unfairly ignored her. The plot is nothing new: it's what is done with it that pleases the eye and ear. Ingen tid til Kaertegn was one of the more popular entries in the 1957 Berlin Film Festival.

A lost hat brings a powerful director and an aspiring actress together.

The Great Nordic War was in full swing, and the Danes and Norwegians had heard with increasing wonder and excitement about a series of victorious and daring feats practiced by a young frigate commander, Captain Lieutenant Peter Wessel. In the film, we meet the handsome naval hero as he sails home to Copenhagen with the frigate "Løvendal's Galley", which is heavily molested after fierce skirmishes with the enemy.

At a convent school for young girls, no one must know that the organist Celestin is the same person as the operetta composer Floridor. But in the long run, it cannot be hidden. His bright student Charlotte has been chosen as the bride of a man she has never met – but during a trip to Copenhagen, where Celestin is supposed to protect Charlotte from the temptations of the city, he takes her to the theatre where his operetta is to premiere. And that is where Celestin's problems really begin.

Eva comes to visit the ship, and when the alarm is raised and they are facing the sea, she hides in a cabin. This leads to various complications, not least because the admiral later come aboard.

A film director sends his director and two screenwriters out into the city to find out what a film should contain in order for the person in question to want to see it. This results in many different episodes. The film includes the famous scene where Dirch Passer and Kjeld Petersen wallpaper a room.

What could be more beautiful and delightful than the Danish summer when it shows itself from its best side? Director Rasmus Strang enjoys it at his country house with his two daughters, Ulla and Linda. Ulla, the eldest daughter from Rasmus Strang's first marriage, runs the household with a firm hand and keeps her stepsister Linda isolated and unnoticed. Linda is not allowed to go out. Linda is not allowed to have new, stylish clothes.

The young, hard-working, and extremely attractive Eva Brun works as secretary to Director Jansen. But when her boss becomes a little too fond of Eva's "work," she quits. Tired of men and tired of lecherous male bosses, she devises a cunning plan. She wants to get married and divorced as quickly as possible so she can live off alimony. Svend Gønge is given a particularly difficult task by Frederick III: 50,000 rigsdaler belonging to the king must be brought from Vordingborg Church to Copenhagen.

Editor Halling is always looking for sensations in his newspaper. He believes in the principle that readers must have what they like,and he therefore notes with satisfaction that there has been a new large jewel theft, the fifth in the last 14 days. It is apparently an unusually cunning gang and the police are powerless. Between the numerous newspaper delivery is the little newspaper girl Suzanne, called Sus, and she manage a small newsstand in Adelgade.

Sailor and tomboy Else (Gerd Gjedved) is fighting for the family's schooner 'Nordstjernen'. Shipping-heir Steen (Hans Kurt) has fallen from his rich father's grace to serve as a 'Nordstjernen' sailor. Will Else and Steen be only colleagues?

A sort of forerunner to Hollywood's Boogie Nights (1997), this Danish melodrama is set in the world of strip clubs. A medical student (Frits Helmuth) earns money for tuition working in a burlesque joint. He falls for one of the girls (Malene Schwarz), but she is also involved with a movie director (John Price). The director and Helmuth get into a philosophical debate about love and Darwinism, and the film ends with a duel (the film's title). Duellen was met with mostly incomprehension when it premiered and is no more lucid when viewed today. The striptease scene featuring full-frontal nudity is tame by modern standards.

Ella and Olaf are in love but childless. Their neighbors Viggo and Polly have three children, but their marriage is in ruins. When Ella and Viggo happen to be alone on a motorboat, she gives in to his advances and becomes pregnant. Ella conceals the circumstances, but when her daughter is seriously injured, only Viggo can be used as a blood donor.

In 1516, King Christian II, on the advice of his Dutch-born mother Sigbrit, summoned 80 members from Holland and let them settle in St. Magleby and the surrounding area with the obligation that they would "supply Copenhagen Castle with the necessary roots and onions". Later, these skilled gardeners mixed with the other inhabitants of the island, almost all of whom adopted their customs and traditions, as well as their peculiar folk costumes.

Among the many guests at the Rebild festival is Andreas Andersen, a man in his early 30s. But he has not come to Denmark to attend the big festival. Seventeen years ago, he was a poor farmhand at "Hovgården," but he fled the country because the farmer's wife, the authoritative Martha Larsen, accused him of a theft that was actually committed by her son, Henrik. Andreas came to America and led a turbulent life here before becoming a farmer and earning a lot of money.

Our bandit story takes place in the good old days, when strife, war, and lawlessness were the order of the day—a time quite unlike our own. In Rold Forest, the daring robber chief Justi roams, stealing from the rich to help the poor. His right-hand men are Reinald, who is more interested in the cash rewards, and the cunning minstrel Ole Hopsasa, whose greatest joy is to quench his ever-burning thirst and sing a cheerful song.

Lis Holst desperately wants to become an actress. After failing an audition at a theater, she decides to resort to other, more drastic measures. When the director and the theater's writer go to the countryside, Lis goes with them. There, she performs a masterpiece of disguise. When the truth dawns on the theater director and the writer, they decide to take advantage of Lis, as the theater's prima donna has taken up residence. Lis is promised a leading role in the next performance, but then the prima donna recovers and wants her role back.

In 1801, the composer Weyse's cousin, the cheerful Henriette Frisch, advised her cousin to take in some student boarders in the house, so that he would not have to provide so much musical information, but could have more time to compose. The result, however, was that Weyse had to take on even more students to feed the boarders, and it was particularly bad with the gifted student Kramer, whose wealthy uncle would not send any more money.
