The Ninja world is set ablaze when the mystical "Spirit Sword" is stolen by the Black Ninja Cal, giving its possessor the ultimate power of destruction. When the leades of the five most powerful clans are murdered, the hunt to track down and retrieve the sword is on. Peter YANG, an orphan, works very hard to support his younger brother Larry. Unfortunately, having his investment lost in the stock market, he is forced to borrow money from a loan shark named Paul CHOW at very high interest rates. To pay back the loan, he turns to gambling. Larry is admired by Helen CHUNG, who soon becomes his close and intimate friend. Peter, meanwhile, wins a considerable sum of money with the help of Bobby CHU, a skillful and honest gambler. This infuriates Tommy CHAO, a ruthless gambler, who secretly tries to attack Peter and his fiancee, Lily. Failing in his attempt, he cheats Peter at the gambling table. Unable to pay his debt, Peter reluctantly accepts Tommy’s conditions and agrees to set up a game to cheat the Tycoon Henry CHUNG of his money.

Peter LAN, a handsome man and a seasoned gambler, finds upon his return from abroad that his family has been destroyed by the treachery of the unscrupulous Alfred WONG, who cheated Peter’s father out of his fortune and drove him to suicide. With both his mother and father dead, Peter suspects and decides to collect evidence of Alfred’s crime. While trying to track down the villain, Peter meets Barry SUNG, a businessman and playboy working for Rex HU. Barry, the would-be gambler, and Peter quickly become friends during a gambling session. The beautiful Lily, who loves Peter devotedly, provides the hero with the crucial lead when she takes him to visit Rex, Barry’s boss. When Rex orders Barry to kill his new friend, his cover is blown. Rex HU is actually Alfred WONG, the man who destroyed Peter’s family. During the dramatic and violent showdown, Barry sides with Peter and helps to bring Rex to justice.

Victor Smier and Shojin run a prostitution racket that even the police can do nothing about. American Commando, Aaron, is brought in to deal with the evil organization and finds himself embroiled in a romance with Victor's ex-, Jennifer, who is then assassinated by Victor's hitman Victor. Also after the gang’s blood is the leader of the red Rose gang, Sharon Tong, who was raped by Shojin years before. She is captured by the gang, but escapes and kills Shojin. In the meantime, Aaron confronts Victor and Manson for a battle to the death.

Growing up without parents, Ma Sha has always worked as a lookout in a red-light district. When he is imprisoned for manslaughter following a customer's death, he breaks out of jail but is soon caught again and sent to a correctional institution on Orchid Island. Guided by his former elementary classmate, who is now a penal officer, Ma finally repents his wild past, writing down his stories and eventually publishing them.

When police officer Alvin loses both his star witness and his wife to drug kingpin (and ninja assassin) Rudolph, he vows to get revenge. Travelling to Hong Kong, hot on Rudolph's trail, he teams up with local investigators Gordon, Vivian and Jackie. Meanwhile, a young street punk named Edmund is hunting for the man who killed his father. Could they all possibly be searching for the same person?

As the old saying goes though, you can't run away from your past and the couple soon find themselves the target of a rather unpleasant gang. When Rodney is framed and put in prison, Janet is left to look after their son alone. Meanwhile, back at the clan, the Ninjas are facing a fierce internal struggle as the dastardly Stewart attempts a takeover. When Gordon returns from a mission, he soon uncovers the truth and the stage is set for a final face off of epic proportions.

In ancient times, a woman plagued with nightly episodes of sleepwalking finds herself subject to a curse that causes her to seek blood. An evil wizard is responsible.

A young woman of considerable social standing receives a curse from a black magician that causes her her head to detach from her body and attack anyone in sight. A good wizard is able to limit the effects of the curse to effect her only on the 15th of each month, but when she falls in love, things get complicated.

An absurd story about five able-minded women who, with a particular skill each, are sent on a mission to rescue an intelligence informant whose plane has crashed into a restricted area.

Taiwanese drama film.

A young woman takes the blame for a self-defense killing so to clear her boyfriend. She gets thrown in reform school and is bullied by all of the usual bitch-types.

Shaw Legend Chi Kuan Chun is the Hung Kuen Fist master who trains an undercover agent known as Queen Bee. His brutal style of Kung Fu comes in handy when the Queen Bee takes on the villains. Authentic Hung Gar Style action presented!

Learning of childhood friend Meihua's death, Lingling goes to Japan to find Meihua's sister, Meifeng. Brutal gangsters demand Lingling return an item Meihua stole, and hold Meifeng hostage. Old friends help Lingling confront the gang.

Taiwanese thriller.

The body of a Hong Kong investigator who had been on the trail of drug smugglers floats up in a river. After police get information that drug smugglers are secretly active in the city, an officer goes undercover as an escaped convict to infiltrate the ring.

Gonzo, action packed rape-revenge themed Taiwanese "Black Movie" featuring Juliet Chan and "Tattooer Ma" Sha. The original "Underground Wife" cut runs 85 minutes, the later IFD "Kill Butterfly Kill" English language cut is 89. This movie was released again by IFD in the late 80s in a 'cut-and-paste' version called "American Commando 6: Kill Butterfly Kill" (see separate listing).

Another cut-and-paste action flick from IFD Films, this one splices together scenes from the Taiwanese film "Underground Wife" aka "Kill Butterfly Kill" with new footage featuring actor Mike Abbott and a bunch of other doofuses.

Taiwanese horror film.

Crime boss Barton's (Mike Abbott) reign of terror is about to end. John Foley (Mark Watson), called in to avenge the death of an innocent man, was trained by the elite American Commandos in Nam. Since the war, he's put his special skills to work many times. But never like this. When John Foley enters the steamy, seedy realm of the underworld, survival is the name of the game and do unto others before they do unto you is the only rule to live by.

After being released from prison, Chen is attacked by his old nemesis but, at the urging of his wife, agrees not to seek revenge. Chen finds himself targeted by the villain and his cohorts after he saves an old woman.
