The film tells the story of Verena Stadler, a young woman who lives in a small Swiss village. Her mother, Katharina Waser-Stadler, is a strong and independent woman who supports Verena in her development. Verena falls in love with Wilhelm Waser, a man from her community, which leads to conflicts and challenges that they must overcome together.

The plot revolves around the confusion and misunderstandings that arise when a package labeled "Postlagernd 212" arrives in a small Swiss village. The village community is curious and speculates about the contents of the package, leading to a series of humorous and chaotic events.

Water is a scarce and sometimes dangerous resource in the Swiss Mountain Village. Anytime the wooden pipe is damaged and the supply breaks, one man from the village is determined by "unlucky" draw to take on the life-threatening repairs.

On February 4, 1936, Wilhelm Gustloff, leader of the NSDAP, was shot dead in Davos. His assassin, 27-year-old David Frankfurter, wanted to use the action to highlight the persecution of the Jews. This docudrama describes with great precision the events leading up to the fateful day and the trial that followed. The film was selected as the Swiss entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 48th Academy Awards, but was not nominated.

Gilberte Montavon was a legend in her own lifetime. As a young woman, she was confidante to hundreds of thousands of Swiss-German speaking soldiers during the First World War, and remembered most of their names. She was still a teenager when the war began, and was immortalised by a song written during the war years by the Swiss-German bard and lute player, Hans Inn der Gand.

While on a longer business trip, a wannabe poet urges his beautiful but more simple wife to answer his overly swollen love letters. With no idea how to respond she forwards the letters to a new young school teacher to use his answers instead...

In this Swiss film noir a private investigator stumbles onto a case involving blackmail and an oversexed, under-aged girl. He finds the girl, and, tragically, becomes involved with her.

A wealthy man buys a hotel that is not very profitable. To check that everything is in order, he gets himself hired as a hotel porter without revealing his identity.

The film tells several interconnected stories of Swiss people who fall in love with foreigners but struggle to maintain their relationships due to prejudice and social norms. The narrative culminates in a conciliatory scene in which the characters overcome their differences and recognize the importance of love across national borders.

Glacier pilot Hermann Geiger flies over a four-thousand-meter peak in the Valais Alps and observes a glacier collapse. The next day, three rope teams climb through this glacier to Dent Blanche. However, Dr. Gruber, accompanied by his wife, a young engineer named Gisler with his girlfriend Monica, two young men named Charly and Roby, mountain guide Perren, and the athletic Englishman Puckle get caught in a storm. Due to the weather conditions, Gruber slips and drags the other participants down with him. His wife, who had stayed behind in a hut, alerts the mountain rescue service. The storm initially prevents glacier pilot Geiger from taking action, but he then risks a breakneck landing to rescue the group.
