Arivaali (Genius) is a 1963 Tamil language drama film written, produced and directed by A. T. Krishnaswami. The film features Sivaji Ganesan and P. Bhanumathi in lead roles. The film, had musical score by S. V. Venkatraman and was released on 1 March 1963.

Anandan and Venkatachalam are friends. Venkatachalam's daughter Sarala, following an accident, loses her ability to walk. A doctor informs Venkatachalam that he treated a similarly handicapped woman, who in the process of giving birth to a child, was cured and could walk again. Inspired, Venkatachalam marries off Sarala to Anandan, deciding that if Sarala is not cured within two years, the marriage will dissolve and Anandan can marry any other woman he wants. Paalum Pazhamum is a 1961 Tamil-language film directed by A. Bhimsingh and featuring Sivaji Ganesan, B. Saroja Devi, Sowcar Janaki and others. Sivaji is a doctor searching for a cancer cure. Saroja Devi is Sivaji's nurse assistant. Sivaji offers to marry her after her father's death. Saroja Devi assists him in his research. Gopal is arrested. He has an alibi - on the night of the murder, a young woman stayed with him in his house, but then he does not disclose her identity. The woman turns out to be Seetha and she gives them the evidence. One of the members of the jury is her father-in-law and complications follow with the husband leaving her and wishing to marry again. However, the truth comes out and the family is united in the end.
