Puthisaligal is directed by T.P. Arjun. Puthisaligal stars Jaishankar in the title role along with Ramachandran T.r., K.a. Thangavelu, O.a.k. Devar, Aachi Manorama, Sachu and Thengai Srinivasan in supporting roles.

Chandrasekaran, an industrialist, is very successful in his business and has a loving family. His three sons and two daughters live happily as one family. He brings up an orphan, Rangan (Sivaji Ganesan), who is utterly devoted to the family. Calamity strikes the family in the form of loss in business. The last daughter's marriage gets cancelled. The brothers and their wives ill-treat their parents and Rangan and his wife. Seeing this Chandrasekaran has no choice to ask Rangan and his wife leave their house. Aftermath Chandrasekaran dies a broken-hearted man leaving his wife and youngest daughter to be in their children's merciless hospitality. Rangan, with his simplicity and pure-hardheartedness, takes it upon himself to look after the mother and sister. In the end, he proves that love and affection is the greatest wealth.

In the quiet village of Poonkulam, Kalyani and Muthayyan are deeply in love. But fate takes a cruel turn when Muthayyan is wrongfully branded a dacoit and forced to live in hiding within the forest. Nirmala (Padmini) is a poor but talented young dancer who falls in love with a rich man's son Sekar (Gemini Ganesan), but he is forced to marry a rich man's daughter Prathiba (Tambaram Lalitha). Nirmala promises to her lover that she will never dance in public. Due to various circumstances, Sekar's house is up for auction, and in order to save him, she performs in public. With the money thus earned, she saves his house, but Sekar is unaware of this. When he learns the truth, he begins searching of her, and in the meantime, Prathiba, who is now reformed, commits suicide. Sekar meets Nirmala, who is on the verge of committing suicide, and they are reunited.

Poori (Daisy Irani) does not know who his parents are, and has been looking high and low to get back to them. Seated in a park bench beside Sundararajan (Gemini Ganesan), Poori asks his name and as soon as he replies, he proclaims that Sundararajan is his father. This creates complications in Sundararajan’s life and ruins his plans of marrying his lover Latha (Savithri). The president of a hospital for the mentally ill with a not-so-mentally-strong daughter creates more problems for the hero. After many interesting twists and turns, the truth emerges — Poori is the illegitimate child of a soldier (Mustafa) and the abandoned mother commits suicide, leaving the child behind. Sundararajan ro and Latha are so attracted to Poori that they decide to adopt him.

A rich man decides to take a vacation after working for two years straight. However, upon arrival, he is shocked to find that his caretaker, Krishnaiah, is missing after renting his Shimla bungalow.

A crooked wealthy man has cheated a gullible poor woman and meanwhile an aristocratic self-possessed woman is being flirted by a responsible officer, an ideal for modern India in this "social guidance picture".

Sivaji Ganesan plays the role of a prince who is separated from his parents by his father's foe at a very young age. He grew up as a ferocious and vicious cavemen. Then he meets Jamuna, who by her word of love and affection turns Sivaji for good. Both set out to find the secret of Thangamalai to find and save Sivaji's parents.

Chandru (Sivaji Ganesan) has a sister (Rajam) who is married to a handsome Ravi (Balaji). But her in-laws insist on a diamond necklace, without which she cannot join her husband. So, Chandru steals a diamond necklace with a locket and then his sister joins her husband. He and his mother (Shanthakumari) move to Madras where he finds a job in a company owned by a wealthy man (Ranga Rao). He falls in love with his daughter (Saroja Devi). One day, the necklace falls down and the locket opens, revealing a photograph of a young man. The husband and the others at home want to know who the person is. She says she has never seen him. But suspecting the worst, she is sent back to her parental home.

Punar Janmam (Rebirth) is a 1961 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by R. S. Mani. The film stars Sivaji Ganesan, Padmini, Ragini and P. Kannamba in lead roles. The film, produced by N. S. Diraviyam under Vijaya Films banner, had musical score by T. Chalapathi Rao and was released on 21 April 1961.

Thanigachalam manages to save Meena from committing suicide. Meena reminds him of his late daughter Uma. Later, Meena tries her best to console Saker who is mourning Uma's death.

Arivaali (Genius) is a 1963 Tamil language drama film written, produced and directed by A. T. Krishnaswami. The film features Sivaji Ganesan and P. Bhanumathi in lead roles. The film, had musical score by S. V. Venkatraman and was released on 1 March 1963.
